Frequently Asked Questions

Who qualifies for a Connect Portal license?

Connect Portal licenses are available to anyone outside of your organization (an external domain is required) who needs limited access to Sitetracker for the purpose of updating project milestones, accessing and uploading relevant documentation, viewing project statuses and records, tracking KPIs, submitting closeout packages or invoice files, etc.

Do I need a Connect Portal license for each of my contractors?

There are two options for licensing the Connect Portal:  named users and pooled licenses. Named user licenses are assigned to specific users, and you pay per license. They are able to log in and relog-in at any time to update information in the Connect Portal, with no limitations on the number of times they can log in.

With the  licenses, you purchase a certain number of monthly logins that are shared between multiple users. Users can log in any time to make updates as needed, as long as the total number of logins per month stays below the threshold. Pooled licenses are a good option when you aren’t sure who will be needing the license, for vendors or crews who are only working for you for a short time, or when you have different individuals picking up work at the same site at different times. They allow for temporary access to gain crucial information from the field, without tying up named user licenses.

Can the Connect Portal be customized?

Yes, the portal can be configured to meet your specific needs. You can choose which tabs and fields to include, and whether they should be editable or read-only. You can set up the portal with different customizations for your different vendors.  The Connect Portal can also be customized with your company’s branding, to ensure a cohesive experience for your third party vendors.
